Molybdenum rods have a high melting point, good thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion properties. At high temperatures, it is resistant to oxidation and has high strength. Molybdenum rods can be used for manufacturing electric vacuum devices and electric light source parts, and can also be used as high temperature heating elements and high temperature structural parts, electrodes, etc.
Classified by material
1 Pure molybdenum rod: the molybdenum content is greater than 99.95%.
2 High temperature molybdenum rod (molybdenum tantalum alloy rod): containing lanthanum 0.4~1.2% and others
3 TZM molybdenum rod: 0.4~0.6Ti, 0.07~0.12Zr, 0.01~0.05C.
Classified by surface state
1 sintered molybdenum rod: the surface is silver-gray metallic luster.
2 Forged molybdenum rod: There is a layer of oxide on the surface and the surface is black.
3 Car light molybdenum rod: the surface has a metallic luster, smooth and rough.
4 Polished molybdenum rod: silver-gray metallic luster, smooth surface, small dimensional tolerance.
Removal method of surface oxide
1. Molybdenum products have the characteristics of being easily oxidized. When heavy oxides need to be removed, treat them with strong acids (fluoric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc.). Please pay attention when handling.
2. For mild oxide, use a cleaning agent with an abrasive, wipe with a soft cloth or sponge, and then wash with warm water.
3. The washed molybdenum products will lose the metallic luster. Please pay attention.
Application
