High Temperature Nonporous-Alumina Oxide Balls
Alumina Oxide Balls are used in processing equipment to improve bearing performance. Alumina Oxide Balls are lighter, stiffer, smoother, harder, corrosion resistant, require less lubrication, and have a lower thermal expansion than their steel counterparts which allow the bearing to run at higher speeds and higher operational temperatures with lower torque. Our Balls are better in extreme temperature and are extremely durable.

Alumina Oxide (Al2O3) Ceramic Balls are resistant to most corrosive materials except for hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids or strong alkaline solutions. Alumina Oxide is non-porous, lighter than steel and, in ball form, harder than steel. Because ceramic balls are non-porous they are virtually frictionless and are capable of spinning faster than steel balls.

Seal out air and gas in high-temperature and high-wear applications. This ultrahard ceramic can also be used in applications that require superior strength and corrosion resistance. Even after machining, no additional firing is required.
